Extensions are now available for Google Chrome – in beta channel only.

Chrome has long time now (in Internet terms) the fastest browser in the wild, wild, web but lacked something that Firefox had, long hairy extensions.

The place where Chrome pips Firefox now is on the speed of adding or removing an extension. No restart is required. On the up side this means you can add extensions quicker. On the downside you can add extensions quicker… I’ve added dozens in a couple of minutes.

Kid in a sweet shop.

Quite possibly one of the nicest extensions is Zemanta which suggests links and images based on what you start to write in your blog. Just click or drag the items into your blog and lovely, jubbley, Rodney… which is really the only reason for writing this post, to try it out.
