The “Future of…” podcast series from IBM makes a welcome return.

This one about microfinance will provide a few people, especially in the UK with pause for thought, considering our love of credit – two thirds of the world’s population earns less than $5 a day (£2.50).  Rather than charity there is a need to pay back the loans involved and because of that the rate of success of those taking the loans is high.  Over 90% of all loans are paid back. So this can really help people get out of poverty.

The guests a Jessica Jackley Flannery from kiva.org and Kevin Thompson, IBM Corporate citizenship and corporate affairs.
